Students of the Trisakti University Master of Product Design Study Program, accompanied by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Sangayu Ketut Laksemi Nilotama, M.Ds and the Supervisor of the Research Governance course Achmad Syarief, M.S.D., PhD have conducted Field Research visits to several locations of local craftsmen, artists, designers and creative industry players in the Yogyakarta area on 24-26 October 2024.

In this field research, students are expected to gain direct experience in conducting surveys, interviews, observations as an important part of practicing data collection and analysis techniques properly and correctly. Students are also expected to gain skills in presenting the results of Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed Methods research.

In addition, the students participating in this research also had the opportunity to talk directly with the resource persons visited such as Mr. Andree Suryaman (Natural House Homedeco, Kasongan Tourism Village), Mr. Sapari (Topeng Kayu Jogya Mbah Surojo), exhibition by Dolorosa Sinaga & Budi Santoso (Yogya National Museum), Mr. Rusli Hidayat (Batik Tulis “Sekar Nitik” Kembang Songo), Mr. Heru Siswanto (Njomblang Kemuning), Mr. Sitok Srengenge (Resto Jiwa Jawi) and Mas Rauhanda & Mba Titis (Shabbychic Jogjakarta Furniture).
